Can Short And Scrappy Really Be A Superpower?

Ever heard of the term “short and scrappy”? Well, that’s pretty much me! I’m 5 ft tall and an incredibly passionate person that looks to find meaning in pretty much everything I do.


What does this have to do with my business and marketing? Well... a lot more than meets the eye.

I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit since my 20’s and after graduating with my MBA, that spirit has exploded with ideas and ways that I can impact businesses and the world around me. I believe in embracing various seasons and milestones in life as learning and growth opportunities. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure to work with some highly regarded brands across the hospitality, non-profit, CPG, technology, QSR, and healthcare sectors. This experience taught me that connecting with your audience is key regardless of what industry you’re in. Having a deep understanding that building a connection with your most trusted audience is most crucial, speaking to them, engaging with them…not talking at them.


I started my business in 2019 after a devastating layoff. As I continued to interview for prospective positions, I dabbled with the idea of consulting, launched my LLC, and picked up my first client in just a few weeks. After only a few months, I accepted a full-time position but kept my JennisCo vision alive. After a few years of building marketing teams and leading marketing for early-stage and startup brands, that entrepreneurial fire inside me grew even further to take the consulting leap full-time.


What is JennisCo and what do I offer?

JennisCo is a consulting and freelance business that specifically focuses in the marketing field. I service clients that range across the industries I previously served:

· Resources: I’m connected with an incredible network of professionals ranging from designers, digital strategists, and fellow marketing consultants. I’m here to support your business and can help source (or work with existing) subject matter experts while steering the ship and ensuring the brand’s vision comes to life with clarity and purpose.


In summary, “short and scrappy” can take on several meanings. In this context, I’d like to define it as my superpower – I have an entrepreneurial, strategic, and determined spirit that simply gets S**T done.
